 This work captures a deep attraction between two people, but one that is marked by disappointment. The attraction clashes with reality, with one of them held back by inner insecurities and an inability to take a decisive step. The brushstrokes reflect the tension between the desire to get closer and the behavior that brings frustration – as if getting to know each other has become a game of cat and mouse. At the same time, the painting captures the painful realization that during a difficult period in life, when one’s own healing is the priority, this confusion is especially hurtful.
